Gintaras Grušas has been the Metropolitan Archbishop of Vilnius, the City of Mercy, since 5 April 2013. He also serves as the President of the Council of European Bishops Conferences (CCEE). He speaks Lithuanian, English, Italian and French. Prior to becoming Archbishop of Vilnius, Grušas was appointed as Ordinary of the Lithuanian armed forces by Pope Benedict XVI.
